What is San Da kickboxing?
Fit 2 Fight Club teaches the San Da style of kickboxing, which is originally Chinese but is popular throughout Asia, Europe, Russia and the US. San Da is similar to Muay Thai kickboxing in that punches, kicks both high and low, Knees and elbows are all legal. However, in San Da there are also sweeps, throws, and takedowns.
What will I learn?
Complete training in kicking, boxing, knees, elbows, kick catches, sweeps, takedowns and throws. Classes are appropriate for beginners and those interested in developing both their health and competitive fighting skills. Training includes basic techniques, partner drills, focus mitt, forearm pad, air shield and heavy bag work. You will develop strength, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning. This training allows our fighters to compete and be champions in all forms of kickboxing.
First hour of seminar will include:
- Stance
- Footwork
- Basic Boxing for San Da
- Kicking and strategy behind leg use
- Combinations
Second hour will involve:
- Basic throws
- Takedowns
- Kick catches
- Blocking takedowns and sprawls
- Avoiding takedowns
Third hour will involve:
- Knees
- Elbows
- Situational work ie: fighting a grappler, Boxer
- Combining skills
- Footwork
Everything you can do standing up. that's what this seminar is all about.
